D.A.R.E. Officer Mark S. Dobil


D.A.R.E. Officer Dobil
Officer Mark Dobil is a 1979 Graduate of West Chester University. His full time police career started in December of 1979 in the Borough of Catasauqua. In August of 1981 Officer Dobil accepted a full time position with the Whitehall Bureau of Police where he is presently employed.

Since his involvement with D.A.R.E., he has established a D.A.R.E. Miniature Golf Tournament held in the spring between St. Elizabeth’s Regional School and Christ the King Parochial School. Other community involvements include having introduced a Youth Police Academy and having held Mock Accidents to depict the dangers of impaired driving at the Whitehall-Coplay School District.

Officer Dobil has been involved with the Special Olympics and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley. Additionally Officer Dobil has participated in the Police Olympics on the State and International levels. His free time is spent with his family and he enjoys skiing and bike riding.


D.A.R.E. Officer Michael K. Lelko


D.A.R.E. Officer Lelko
Officer Lelko started his career at the Whitehall Bureau of Police in 1986 after receiving his education from Whitehall high school and East Stroudsburg University. He serves as the School Resource and D.A.R.E. Officer at the Whitehall-Coplay Middle School.

Officer Lelko likes to run to stay in shape and has competed in the State and World Police Olympics medaling in the 800, 1500, and 5000 meter races. He is an avid New York Yankee's and New York Giant's fan and enjoys spending time with his wife and step-sons.








D.A.R.E. Officer Cheryl A. Gilmore


D.A.R.E. Officer Gilmore
Officer Gilmore began her career with the Whitehall Bureau of Police in May of 2004. Prior to her employment she attended Alvernia College and graduated with a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice with a focus in Forensic Science. After her college education Officer Gilmore attended the Reading Police Academy for her Act 120 requirements of becoming a Police Officer.

Officer Gilmore is certified to instruct D.A.R.E. and has begun this community service at St. Elizabeth's Regional School. She enjoys outdoor activities and likes running to stay fit.
