Oh my aching back! I love to watch this man destroy the competition. I had not even heard that he was making a comeback, until the news today.
I feel cheated.
I feel sorry for him.
I feel his pain because I know what it’s like to wreck in a very painful way.
I have read that it was a bad stretch of road, only 16k (12 mi.) from the end of the First Stage! (day one of the Vuelta of Castilla and Leon)
Lance has said:
For the Giro it’s a very big problem. For now, the biggest problem is just the pain.
In 17 years of professional racing, besides his fight with testicular cancer, he has never had this type of injury. It is considered one of the most common injuries when multiple riders are involved, as was this case. So for now, I have to wait and watch the news (and Lance’s Blog) for updates on his hopeful entrance into Le Tour. Unfortunately, the Giro d’Italia is scratched.
